Project DIGEN-1K: System for Genetic Diagnostics and Pathogen Identification throughout NGS

 

  • The question

In 2010 there was an increase in genome sequencing capacity that led to the emergence of numerous projects and the generation of a large amount of data that needed to be analysed and stored. I had the opportunity to work on several projects in the genomic field, such as at CNAG and Biomol.

  • The analysis:
To this end, I worked on the development of both analysis pipelines and storage architectures using Big Data technologies.
